Private: my aunt was operated within two weeks, private room, comfortable, but the bill was around RM18k. My honest take for a non-emergency and middle-class budget, go government for the actual surgical quality and save your money, UNLESS the wait risks her condition worsening or she can't tolerate the crowded environment, then private is worth it for speed and comfort.
