I think I need to talk to a professional but private therapist charge like RM150-300 per session, cannot afford weekly. Are there cheaper or free options that are still legit? Prefer confidential. Any real experience appreciated.

(5) Some employers have an EAP giving free confidential sessions, check with HR discreetly. (6) A few private therapists offer sliding-scale fees if you ask, no harm asking. It's confidential either way, professionals are bound by ethics. If you go private, check the therapist is registered, look for a registered counsellor (Lembaga Kaunselor) or a clinical psychologist, so you not paying for someone unqualified. I went the government hospital route through a Klinik Kesihatan referral. Yes the wait was long and it's not fancy, but the psychiatrist was proper and the cost was minimal compared to private. Legit help doesn't have to be expensive, it just takes more effort to find.
