e-Filing is LHDN's online system for submitting your annual income tax return through the MyTax portal. After registering and getting a digital PIN or logging in, taxpayers fill in income, reliefs, and deductions in the correct form, such as the BE form for individuals with employment income. The system calculates tax payable or refundable automatically. e-Filing is generally faster than paper submission and usually has a slightly later deadline. Filing on time avoids penalties, and any balance of tax must be paid by the due date. Deadlines, forms, and portal features are subject to the latest rules.
